On behalf of all residents, staff and the Management Committee of Apex Harmony Lodge, we will like to pay our respects to the late Dr Oon Chiew Seng, our dear founder of the Lodge.
A dauntless and virtuous woman who was greatly loved, respected and admired by staff and residents of the Lodge. Your distinguished service and numerous contributions to persons with dementia will be remembered by the many you have touched. Your selflessness in nurturing and growing the Lodge from its birth will be well-treasured. We will strive to carry on your legacy to bring warmth, joy and comfort to many more.
May you rest in peace.

Mr Or Seng Kee leads a fulfilling life through work in the Home.
For a gentleman with a small built, Mr Or Seng Kee has a big heart within him. He takes the initiative to clean up around the Home and offers to help whenever he sees someone in need. He takes it upon himself to see that the chores like sweeping, mopping and folding are completed. A care staff close to Mr Or recalled how he was apologetic when he could not help with chores once as he was unwell. Such is evident of Mr Or’s strong work ethic, sense of responsibility and purpose.

Residents spring clean to welcome prosperity this coming Year of Tiger
“It’s very common to do spring cleaning when Chinese New Year is coming,” shares Mr Goh Kian Ho, an easy-going gentleman residing in the Lodge’s Lily Home. On this January morning, Mr Goh and his fellow residents are hard at work, polishing windows and wiping down furniture. These chores may seem mundane but are a natural form of physical activity.

"An AHL spokesperson pointed out that work helps stimulate the sensory and cognitive abilities of PWD and having other people with dementia around them can help promote socialisation. The common misunderstanding about the quality of persons with YES is that they lack the ability to be productive and need to be served by others. The truth is, they can still continue and contribute their labour as long as they have the right environment and the right job."
